East for 16 1 / 2 years (wishes she could do it now) states Opal Chase was in charge and Ruth Lord was supervisor and then Myrtle Chaplin took over after Ruth passed on. At 92+ years of age, Doris still drives around town (Saint Cloud, Florida) and is active in Eastern Star, plays 9 holes of golf once a week, plays cards, rides her bike, attends church and has CHF under control at the present. She remembers the good times at OHM and wants to be remembered to all ... Kathie McCarthy had transverse myelitis in November and lost the use of her right leg, but has recovered with just residual stiffness, and in the course of testing a brain tumor was found (non-malignant) and she had the tumor removed in April and is looking forward to a much better year... Shirley Wagner has returned to Little John Island and a previous note from her tells us that Louise Meserve who was charge nurse 11-7 Rehab. lost everything in the Florida disaster ... Irene Kosky and husband Tony, have returned to Scarborough from Florida.. Florence Christopher has returned to Limington at her log cabin on the lake. Marcella Francoeur is in Florida with her son Joe (as we go to print), but hopefully will be with her daughter Michelle at 43 Vannah Ave. later this month. Ellie Pulsifer is now a permanent resident of Florida and comes to Maine to see all of their children and grandchildren during the summer. Dr. John Birch was pictured in the Portland newspaper at the Pond Cove IGA grocery store last March 11 buying groceries ... Mary Craigs had major surgery last February as did Priscilla Deetjen…Jodell Usher has a day care in her home now and tells me she is now a grandmother ...Myrtie D'Ascanio celebrated her 55th wedding anniversary on March 4th--Congratulations Myrtie! Her son made an 800 in bowling in Las Vegas and missed a 300 twice with 299. She sent a little saying:
